TESTING COSMETICS – VERY SIMPLY AT HOME.

Our new study designs are realised with the help of an innovative, compact measuring device for viewing skin conditions according to various criteria.

The use of this device is extremely simple and allows us to conduct detailed research on the skin. We would like to use this to jointly research the tolerability and effectiveness of cosmetic products with the help of study participants within the framework of cosmetic application studies.

Our studies can also be carried out outside our Study Center – simply at home. We send the cosmetic products to be tested and the measuring device to the participants. We conduct the studies together and in close coordination. You as study participants are thus intensively involved and do not have to change your daily routine.

MEASUREMENTS WITH THE HELP OF A COMPACT MEASURING DEVICE.

Our innovative and very handy measuring device has a special camera that takes very detailed pictures of the skin. A so-called skin report is created using these images, which consists of statements about the skin’s care status, vitality and robustness.

WHAT MEASUREMENTS OR DETERMINATIONS CAN BE USED TO MAKE THESE STATEMENTS?

The skin care status is defined by criteria such as impurities, oiliness and moisture. It shows how well the skin is cared for. The vitality of the skin is expressed in detail by the evenness, crinkliness and age of the skin. The age of the skin can actually be easily determined by means of mathematical calculations of the photographs! The robustness is expressed through possible skin redness, i.e. the sensitivity to external influences.

Additional individual factors that influence the skin are nutrition, sporting activities and hormonal status. The sleeping rhythm or lack of sleep also influences the appearance of the skin.

For this reason, we can also query these factors via the corresponding app. After all, monitoring and possibly controlling all these factors has an important influence on the skin in addition to the selection of care products.

SIMPLE OPERATION.

The operation is very simple. To record the individual measurement data, it is sufficient to lightly hold the measuring device on the skin area to be assessed. It is designed to automatically guide you through a series of steps. For the measurements and to enter the individual data, you are guided via an app.

This is how simple it is to test at home.

The recording of the individual factors influencing the skin, such as weather data, is saved and evaluated via the special app. You can simply download this app from the App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone. When the measuring device and app interact, you are automatically guided through a corresponding menu.

Within our studies@home project, we would like to carry out various study profiles, i.e. test as many different products as possible with regard to their tolerability and effectiveness.

Facial skin care products for their moisturising performance or wrinkle reduction or overall with regard to improving the skin's appearance.
Dermocosmetic care products for their influence on demanding and sensitive skin.
Cleansing care products for their influence on skin properties or, for example, a non-drying effect.
Body care and sun protection for their care and protective effect, as well as their moisturising performance.
