Our Skin – A True Multitalent

With an area of around 2 m2, the skin is the largest organ of the human body. It protects us from environmental influences, regulates body temperature, and enables sensory perceptions such as touch and temperature. It consists of three main layers: Epidermis, Dermis & Subcutis or hypodermis.

Together, these layers form a complex system essential for protection and vital regulation.
