In consumer research, we deal with the following:
- how you use cosmetic products,
- if you like them, and
- if applicable, what can be done to improve the products that we market.
Consumer research can include both qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods in this case are individual interviews or group discussions and provide deeper insights into the "why" behind the behaviors. Quantitative methods are surveys with a large number of participants and so provide us with statistically representative data.
Consumer research uses various methods to collect and analyze data.
